Release Features
Browser: Job Request list not being filtered by Asset Code
The latest version of smart Asset includes a fix to allow job requests to be filtered via the asset tree.
Tip
To filter Job Requests by asset code, click on the Job Requests menu item, then navigate to the asset in question and mouse click. The "Parent Asset Code" filter will appear.
Mobile App: User forced to login each time the app is removed from view
The mobile app was requesting the user log back in again every time the app was minimised. The newest version will only require the user to log back in again after either the session has expired or the user has logged off.
Tip
We recommend logging off the mobile app once your work is complete to ensure that any licenses are freed up if they are not actively being used.
Browser - Get Job List fails when user has shop string
The Job list was appearing incorrectly for users with more than one shop. This is now appearing correctly in the new version of SmartAsset.
Pre Inspection jobs not displaying pre-inspection in UI
Some jobs require pre inspections to be done on the asset prior to any further works. This is now supported in the mobile app and browser
Browser: When a pre-inspection job is required, a message will appear on the top right and the UI will be redirected to the pre-inspection job.
Mobile App: When a pre-inspection job is required, a message will appear at the centre of the app and the app will be redirected to the pre-inspection job.
Tip
Pre-inspection jobs are used on particular assets and executing shops where a piece of work needs to be performed on a given asset before commencing other activities. For example, a routine maintenance task or a condition assessment. Please contact info@smartasset.com.au for more details on how to configure these jobs.
Remove Prompt after Asset/Originator Lookup on Quick-Checkout Screen
When an asset or originator is entered into the quick checkout using a scanner, the prompt remained as below even after the lookup was performed.
The new version of Smart Asset does not display this prompt but instead does the lookup straight away and goes directly to the asset scan page.
Help
For more info on the checkout/checkin please see the article below.
Browser - Unable to Add Items to an Existing Reservation
Reservations that have not yet been checked-out (i.e. they have a status of Template or Reserved) now allow new assets and catalogue items to be added to them. This can be achieved by clicking the "Add New Assets" button below and selecting the assets in the usual way.
If the reservation has a status of checked-out, checked-in or complete, no further assets may be added to that rerservation.
Browser - Job Checklist Readings Validation
Validation has now been included in the browser checklist to improve the overall user experience. Once a value has been entered in the response field and the user tabs or clicks out of that field, validation is immediately run and the value is saved if the validation is passed. If the value is invalid, a message dialog will appear at the top right indicating the source of the error.
Asset check out selection error
Sometimes when checking out assets to a reservation, if the user selects the assets on the first page and then selects a new page or types a new description the previously selected assets are not added. This has been resolved in the new version of Smart Asset.
Mobile App - Start and End date validation throughout the application
Validation has been added to the mobile app to ensure the consistency of dates throughout. For example, on job completion, the end date and time of a job cannot occur before the start date.
Browser and Mobile app Performance Issues
A performance issue has been identified when loading remarks that contain image or video data. This has been resolved in the latest version of Smart Asset.
Tip
The remarks sections in the browser supports RTF formatted text, but this does not include image or video data. Please add any images or videos to the asset/job/request libraries instead.
Add TimeZone Config setting to support the Reservation Report in multiple Regions
The Smart Asset APIs now supports running across multiple regions. This ensures consistency of date formats and date validity across the entire application.
