Release Features
After a new release of the SmartAsset software browser a restart of the browser is sometimes required to start using the new version. A change has been introduced to automatically load new code once anew version of the browser has been deployed.
Info | Tip
Many web browsers cache content locally to improve performance. SmartAsset will continue to cache as before unless a new version of the browser code has been detected. We nevertheless recommend logging of and closing the browser regularly to ensure that browser license are not being used while you are not using the software.
Mobile App - Duplicate Jobs in the Asset Jobs page
For certain assets the mobile app was displaying the same jobs twice on the “Asset Jobs” tab. This cosmetic issue has been resolved in this release and will no longer show the duplicates.
Outlook Add-In - Save plan is Converting Jobs but not Reflecting in Calendar
The Outlook Add-In allows work plans to be saved on Microsoft Exchange calendars. However the calendars do not always refresh with the new calendar items. This has been resolved in this release/
Auth0 Issue with Proxy
Some users have had issues updating originators via the SDC behind a proxy server. The latest version of SmartAsset includes changes to resolve these issues.
Info | Tip
A proxy server acts an intermediary between clients and other external servers, including those on the internet. All requests for external content are routed via the proxy and the requested data is returned via the proxy.
Error message when saving Originator Code Table Entry
Users with non-compliant passwords are sometimes presented with errors when updating originator details via the SDC. This message does not prevent the data being saved. The latest release of SmartAsset contains code improvements to stop this from happening.

How to Permit user access to SmartAsset Browser and Mobile App
Mobile App - Bulk Checkout Changes
When a user creates a bulk check-out in the mobile app, they can now set the reservation name and specify the time for both the Checkout and Expected Checkin dates.
Info | Tip
The bulk checkout functionality can be accessed via the mobile app by navigating to Calendar icon (Reservations) and then clicking on “Bulk Checkout”. Simply specify a name, the Checkout, Checkin dates and the Recipient (either Asset or Originator). Click “Next” to start adding assets.
Mobile App: Show Asset When on Job Detail Screen
The new version of smart asset now displays the asset code and asset description on the panel window for ease of reference.
Info | Hint
To navigate directly from a job to its asset, click on the “Related Asset” icon.
Mobile App: Redirect to Asset detail, Job Detail or Job request detail page
When creating a new Asset, Job or Job request in the mobile app, the app will now redirect you to the newly create asset, job or job request detail page instead of the lists.
Mobile App: Remember logged in user
The mobile app will now remember the logged in user when they navigate away from the app on their phone or Ipad. This minimises the need for the user to continuously sign in.
Mobile App: Unread notification text emphasised and Read ALL function
All unread notifications text in the mobile app is emphasised (in Bold) to enable quick identification if unread notifications.
We have also added a “Read all” shortcut, to quickly mark all notifications as “Read”.
Browser/App reading validation issues.
When entering readings via the SmartAsset browser or Mobile app via a Job Checklist, SmartAsset was incorrectly validating the data causing data entry to fail. This item has been addressed and will now function as SDC.
Info | Tip
We are constantly evolving the SmartAsset browser and App to enable users to handle their daily processing without the need of our client side SDC/ODC. Checklist enhancements are currently being made and will be available in the coming releases.
