Creating a job request (otherwise known as Fault notification) inside of the smart asset browser is simple. Based on how your organisation has Smart asset set up, Job requests can generate notification workflows to key members of the organisation or 3rd party contractors.
Step-by-step guide
- Log into your company's Smart Asset Browser
- From the Dashboard you can click on the Shortcut "Add New" button located in the top right hand corner then select Job Request
3- Alternatively, you can also click directly on the Job Requests Tab in the header and then click
4- You must start by locating the relevant asset that the Job request/Fault relate to.
This is done by searching for the asset suing the Asset Code or Asset Description Fields:
5- Once the right asset is selected, you can proceed to populating the remaining fields on the General TAB screen
6- Click the Detail Tab to review and edit the pre-populated fields:
7- Once you have completed all the details click Save - if saved successfully you will notice a green box appear in the top right hand corner advising you that you have saved the Job request successfully and the screen will reload to show the following extra details
- Job Request Number
- Convert to job button
- Attachments Tab

Saving will fail if any of the mandatory fields are not populated - You will be able to see the empty fields highlighted in red.
