Job Steps
Jobs are used to record detailed information against Assets for analysis, costing and reporting purposes.
Where use has been made of the option to build job steps, displays of job number may include a suffix consisting of a '/' and a one or two digit number that identifies a 'child' activity within the master job.
Sub-activities or job steps will be identified with the same job number as their 'Master' job with the addition of a one or two-digit step number, which in most displays, will be seen as a suffix to the job number comprising a '/' followed by the step number.
If the job is a project master job and there are actual costs within its job steps, these costs will roll up to the master job. The master job will have the total costs of the master and all children/sub jobs (steps). Each job step can be reviewed individually for their actual costs.
