Holding Asset Codes for Rotable Assets

A key aspect to setting up rotables, is that when a rotable serial number is removed from an actual asset, it must be relocated to a “holding” asset for either repair, scrap and/or a store for future use.

These assets must be created in the asset Taxonomy in a logical location. For organisations that have more than one logical area/district/location, these holding assets can be created multiple times with unique asset codes that identify them.
