Job/Job History Searching
SmartAsset has a process to search and find jobs where the job number or asset is not known. This method of searching may be valid for reporting and/or database interrogation.
The Excel Add-in is the backbone behind ad-hoc reports and database interrogation as the majority of people are familiar with Excel. This search capability is identical via the Excel Add-in.
Job Find
1. Select the Jobs menu tab (circled in red)
2. Select the Job Find button (circled in red) in the ribbon to open the Job Advanced Search form as per the 2nd image below
3. The Advanced Search form will default to a Table Selection of Job (circled in red) remembering where your find started from in the workbench
4. Click the Search field down arrow browse (circled in red) to display job table fields for searching and select Job No (also circled in red)
5. Select the second command down arrow browse (circled in red) and select the ~ key (meaning like)
Wildcards such as % can be used. % substitutes for any number of characters
6. Enter your Search criteria in the blank field (circled in red)
7. Select the [+] icon to open another field for selection, then select Shop Id, Equal To and your desired Shop
8. Select the Go button (or press the enter key) to find your search information
This search is finding all jobs that have a J prefix for your selected Team.
9. To select a Job click the job number and click the right mouse button to display more options such as Launch Screen or Enquire
You can also double click the left mouse button a job to launch it if required
Additional Job Find
1. Select the Clear button
2. Select the Job Table Selection
3. Add selection filter criteria as per the image below
4. Select the GO button (or press the enter key) to find your search information
This search is finding all jobs that have an asset code of 213-780, that is assigned to the Maintenance Workshop with an Estimated Start Date greater than 01/01/2019
5. Select the ‘Windows’ close option
This will return you to the Workbench
Job History Find
1. Select the Jobs menu tab (circled in red)
2. Select the Job History find icon (circled in red)
This option will launch an Advanced Search form
3. The Advanced Search form will default to a Table Selection of Job History (circled in red) remembering where your find started from in the workbench
4. Click the Search field down arrow browse to display job table fields for searching and select Activity Cause, Equal To Breakdown (circled in red)
5. Select the second command down arrow browse then select Actual Start Date Greater Than 1/01/2019 (circled in red)
6. Select the GO button (or press the enter key) to find your search information
This search is finding all history jobs that were a Breakdown with an Actual Start Date greater than a specified date. These history jobs can be further interrogated if required by double clicking the left mouse on your desired job.
7. Select the ‘Windows’ close option
This will return you to the Workbench
