Moving Assets

Moving Assets

Assets can be ‘Moved’ from one location to another by using a cut and paste command or by changing the parent asset code in the asset form. This functionality may be useful for moving assets such as mobile plant.

Cut & Paste

 1. Navigate to your Asset that you want to move

2. Hover the mouse over the Asset you want to Move, click the right mouse button, then select Cut (circled in red)

3. Navigate to the Parent Asset (circled in red) where you want to move the asset to, then click the Asset Code

4. Hover the mouse over the Asset, click the right mouse button, then select Paste (circled in red) to display an information window as per the 2^nd image below

5. Click OK to accept the information window

6. View that the Asset has been Moved (circled in red) in the hierarchy tree

 Changing Parent Asset

1. Double click the left mouse button on your desired Asset (circled in red) that you want change its Parent Asset

When an asset code is selected, it will open the Asset form safs090 as per the 2^nd image below

2. Change the Parent Asset to your new Parent Asset (circled in red)

You can use the browse icon to search the parent asset code if required

 3. Click the Save button to record your information

4. CLOSE the form by selecting the Windows close option

This will return you to the Workbench

5. Click Options then Refresh (circled in red) from the Workbench

The ‘Refresh’ will contract the asset hierarchy tree back to the top level

 6. Navigate to the Asset where you just changed the Parent Asset to make sure that it is visible

13. Navigate to the Asset Start (circled in red) by using Options/Refresh or the using the Asset Tree
