Overview
Integration tags in Digital Forms can be used to exchange data with Damstra Safety when a form is closed.
A typical example is vehicle inspection integration. When a vehicle inspection form is closed in Digital Forms, data from the form saved under integration tags is passed to Damstra Safety and stored against the relevant vehicle asset under Damstra Safety. With this automatic integration process in place, users do not need to manually rekey the inspection data in Damstra Safety, which can save their time and ensure data consistency among different systems.
Please note that "Eventbridge Event Stream" option in organization setting needs to be ticked in order to enable the integration. Damstra will enable this option for you if the integration is required for your organization.
How to configure your own template for the vehicle inspection integration
Assuming that the vehicle inspection form has one or multiple child corrective action forms that will be triggered upon user selection in the vehicle inspection form, both vehicle inspection form and child corrective action form templates need to be configured for the integration.
Generic template available for customisation
We have built in a generic vehicle inspection template that is ready for integration with Damstra Safety. You can find it in your example project with the template name "Vehicle Safety Checklist - integration".
You can easily customise the template for your own organisation to use.
Data updated in Damstra Safety
Once the integration process is complete:
- Data saved under integration tags of vehicle inspection form will be synced to Damstra Safety and stored as inspection record against the correct vehicle tranport register.
- Any triggered corrective action forms under the vehicle inspection form will be synced to Damstra Safety and stored as action records against the correct inspection record.
