Domain change
On Thursday 21 October 2021, the Damstra Forms application's domain changed from <instance>.apemobile.com to <instance>.au.damstraforms.com.
For example, damstra.apemobile.com is now damstra.au.damstraforms.com.
What it means for mobile app users
If you use the iOS, Android or Windows mobile apps, it’s important that you upgrade your app to the latest version if you haven’t already done so.
The latest version of the app is designed to handle the domain change quickly and easily. If you’re on the latest version, if you try to login using the old domain you'll be redirected to the new domain automatically.
All you will need to do is log in again, and you will be able keep on working as normal.
Note: If you are still using an older app version after the domain change happens, then you will need to log in to your new domain, and your mobile app will do a full data sync with the server. The amount of time this will take will depend on how much data needs to be synced, and it may take a while. This is why it’s best to ensure you’re on the latest version so no re-syncing will need to be done.
Sometime after the change, we will also be updating the various app stores to start using the new Damstra Forms name for the app instead of APE Mobile.
Web application users
If you use the web application, just keep using it as normal.
Once the domain change happens, if you enter the old domain directly or select it via a browser bookmark, the web application will automatically redirect to your new domain name.
Action required
If you haven’t already done so, please upgrade your Samm/APE Mobile mobile app to the version listed below or later.
- iOS: 6.9.0
- Android: 2.9.0
- Windows: 2.7.0
Duplication of forms, actions and memos in web app
The web app has been enhanced to be in line with the mobile app and allow forms, actions and memos to be duplicated if the Organisation setting to allow duplication of these items is enabled.
